Liliana Janik received her doctorate degree from University of Cambridge, UK, while her masters degree was from Nicolaus Copernicus University of Torun, Poland. She is working at the Department of Archaeology, University of Cambridge, as Senior Assistant in Research. Research interests: archaeological theory; visual cognition in the rock art of northern European fisher-gatherer-hunters, cultural categorisation of food stuffs and scientific approaches to prehistoric cuisine of Europe and ancient Japan. Current fieldwork: Karelia Russia and Niigata prefecture, Japan.
